YDM is proud to support progressive champion Sen. Cynthia Stone Creem in her re-election campaign!

Creem has been a leader in reforming sentencing and CORI regulations, keeping Massachusetts at the forefront of the green energy economy, and guaranteeing civil rights are extended to all citizens.

“The Board of Directors of YDM appreciates that in addition to voting for positive reforms, Creem is a strong champion of them, using her years of experience to get positive results for the people of Massachusetts,” said Elaine Almquist, vice chair of the Young Democrats of Massachusetts.  “YDM stands with legislators in our commonwealth that take the lead on big progressive priorities, and we are excited that our young leaders have the opportunity to recognize and reward her leadership.”

Cindy Creem has served as State Senator from the First Middlesex and Norfolk district for 12 years. Cindy has strong roots in the community. She was born and raised in Brookline, where she attended Runkle Elementary School and Brookline High School. She attended Boston University, where she also earned her law degree. At college, Cindy met her future husband, Harvey Creem of Newton. Cindy and Harvey married and settled in Newton to raise their two children, Gary and Stacey. Professionally, Cindy and her sister, Gayle Stone-Turesky (also a Newton resident) are partners in the firm of Stone, Stone & Creem, founded by their parents, where Cindy practices family law.
