President’s Remarks
Led by Caesar (Rebecca could not make it)
- Retreat went well. For Rebecca this further emphasized we need to do a better job supporting our caucuses with what we have: money and prioritization of specific issues.
- As always, if you’re needing help or support or someone to vent to, Rebecca is here.
- We tried to do a candidate forum with Sabrina Heisey and Colleen Garry. Garry said no because of our statement.
Treasurer Report
Led by Frank
- $4,360 in PAC, doing very well compared to a year ago. Seeing growth.
Membership Report
Led by Melissa
- Melissa will send out doodle for caucus call
- We/event organizers should send follow up thank you emails to attendees. We want a simplified google form for this.
- Working on getting VoteBuilder going
- Planning to do voter registration ahead of November election. Melissa will be sending an email to collect suggestions for areas to do voter registration drives.
- Melissa will be doing membership survey.
Monthly Fundraising Drives with Cosecha
Led by Jocelyn
- Jocelyn has been involved with fundraising drives for Cosecha. The money goes towards organizing and political action. This is a good way to get involved and a great opportunity for the Latino Caucus.
