The Young Democrats of Massachusetts voted to endorse Jim Hawkins for State Representative in the 2nd Bristol District, including Attleboro. The Special Election is being held on Tuesday, April 3.
Jim is ready to fight for:
Education – As MTA Senate District Coordinator, Jim has been a vocal critic of state underfunding for our public schools. With his legislative experience, he has proven his ability to communicate across party lines.
Business Development – Jim taught small business management at Roger Williams University and math and financial literacy at Attleboro High School, along with being a former owner of a gas station. Jim will be a voice for business owners and has the skills and understands the need for fiscal responsibility.
Substance Addiction – Jim will support the efforts to expand the role of the legislature concerning the opiate medical crisis and mental health services.
