It’s Not a “Burden” to Support Equality

Scott Brown Let Me Down81 cents on the dollar. That’s what women in Massachusetts make compared to men for similar jobs in this country.
Today, Scott Brown had the opportunity to correct that inequity and stand up for working women at a time when they’ve been struggling most by supporting the Paycheck Fairness Act.
Instead, Scott Brown showed his indifference and complete lack of independence by voting in lockstep with Mitch McConnell and his peers in the GOP. Brown cast yet another vote for big business and against the interest of voters in Massachusetts.
Women in Massachusetts earn 19% less than their male counterparts, and Brown just sent a resounding message the he won’t represent us the Senate. The same senator who thought it would be ok to let your employer decide whether or not to cover routine cancer screenings or birth control just voted to let your employer pay you less than the men who do the same job.

Thankfully, we have a chance to do something about it this year. Can you please take 2 minutes to help make sure we make Scott Brown a half-term senator and elect someone who share our values?

Wall Street knows that Scott Brown is their guy, and they’re pouring money into his campaign hand-over-fist, but all the money in the world can’t beat our grassroots strength. If you’re as mad as I am, step up now to take action and we can hold Brown accountable and elect a true leader back into the Senate seat once held by Ted Kennedy. Please act now:
